The suction.....What suction?!?! I have 5 kids and dont have time to go over the same spot 10 times before it picks everything up. I am going to call them but I didnt take it out of the box right away so I am sure its too late to return. I am sure I could have gotten a better vacuum cleaner for $200! I am so disappointed!

I paid $[....] for this at a Costco. I've had it for 2 weeks, it overheats everytime that I use it! I've searched every possible place for a clog to be and there isn't one. I called Hoover's hotline they said it's clogged I told them it wasn't and the lady said it was and that's all there was to it.
I will never buy another Hoover or reccomend them to anyone. Thank goodness Costco is going to take mine back and refund the money.
Use your money on a different brand with better customer service!

We purchased this item from another retailer last week. I used it the first time and I wasn't impressed but content (for the reason outlined below). Then, my wife tried to use it and the rotating brush wouldn't turn on. We repeated tried to turn on the rotating brush using the switch on the handle to no avail. Then I banged the head then pressed the switch and it turned on.
Pros:
- bagless. I wanted a bagless canister since my last one used S bags that cost me $3 a bag.
- compact and light
Cons:
- The brush is weak. Compared to my kenmore canister, this brush is slight and lacks rotating power. I tried to feel the suction and it was weak too. That said, it was still picking up dirt. So I don't know whether Hoover found a way to pick up dirt while making the suction and brush weaker than normal.
- It malfunctioned on the second use.

Bought this vacuum cleaner to replace Dyson DC07(upright). Suction is way below average especially on bare floors (when the power head is turned off). Had to do a minor repair to the power head already. When I was vacuuming a rug, the power head caught some edge ornament (loose short ropes) and the brush stopped rotating. Had to open the power head and reinstall the rubber belt that came off. Also the wand is attached to the power head through a plastic tubular connector that is probably not going to last (this is the place where my previous Fanton Lightning canister vacuum broke).
Disappointed due to low suction.

This product really cleans well. At first, it was hard to take it apart and clean it after it was used. But every time I do it, it gets easier.
