I bought this vacuum with a singular function in mind. I wanted to clean up my son's cheerio mess without a broom. since dry cheerios are light, anything should pick them up. This vacuum performed perfect for the first day. After that, it started making a slight noise when in use. Then picking it up and using it caused a loud noise. Then finally, I figured out the problem. The vacuum rotor popped off the motor spindle. It fell apart after less than 2 days. While it may work great for the first day, I can't recommend a product which only lasts two days of light use. Very poor quality control.

This product is horrible! I own mine for approximately 6 months or so. As others have mentioned, there is a nasty smell emitted when you use it and there is NO storage for the accessories.



MY problem is that the battery no longer charges. I followed directions not to leave it on the charger all the time in order to prolong battery life. I would use it a few times before recharging. Eventually, I had to recharge it after each use. NOW, the battery does not charge at all!



I have tried many times to contact customer service via email. Never received a response! I have tried to contact customer service via telephone. A receptionist answers and says she is transferring to customer service, but no one picks up the phone.



I would personally recommend staying AWAY from this product!

I've been very disappointed in this unit. It has a cheap feel about it,and I don't think it's very well balanced, weight wise. Most important, the suction is not very good for a unit of this size. I've also not been happy with the lack of storage for the included tools. You'd be much better off with a B&D Dust Buster - little more expensive, but worth it.

When I read the first review on this vacuum about it being smelly, I thought maybe not all of them would have the same issue. Since it was the strongest wet/dry cordless hand vacuum that I could find, I decided to order it anyway. It's a lot more powerful than our old 7.2 volt wet/dry Dustbuster. But, the smell that it gives off when in use is pretty strong. So, if you don't really need the wet pick-up feature too much (I don't pick up wet messes with the vacuum as often as I thought I would), I would recommend the Black & Decker CHV1400 14.4-Volt Cyclonic DustBuster. It's gotten pretty good reviews and our Black & Decker held up well over the years.

I love this vacuum. The only thing to get used to is the small 'mouth' opening, which makes it a little more difficult to clean up large messes. But it's just as powerful as my old DustBuster and I prefer the ergonomics of this one. Doesn't hold as much dirt, but that's the price you pay for beauty, I suppose.

This vacuum does OK on my stairs but not for areas any bigger. My kids got crackers on the carpet and so I thought I would just take care of it quickly with my new hand vac, but I found it was a long tedious process to clean up such a small area. Next time it will be faster just to drag out the big vac. I'm a little disappointed. I dislike writing a bad review.

I was very excited when I purchased this item figuring it to give my tile kitchen floor a good scrubbing. Well guess what, this thing has no power and does not really clean except for top-dirt. It does not really scrub your floor clean and the battery died after half my floor was done. One more thing is that it is very flimsy. Stick with the Shark steam cleaner (which I also have), it does a better job in a lot less time.

I was looking for something quick & easy to clean my kitchen tile floor as I was tired of getting on my hands and knees, especially for spot areas. I don't like cleaning, but if I can use a machine that makes it easy w/ little hassle, I tend to clean much more often. I thought this would be the case when I purchased this mop. However, I really don't see the benefit of this mop at all. It takes a long time to clean as you have to go slow to let it scrub & suck up the water. Now my floors aren't terribly filthy, but I couldn't really tell the difference when I used this mop. Thus, I don't really see the benefit and it is now one more gadget I have to find space for to store. Hence, if you are thinking this is the answer to your problems in terms of an easy & effective way to clean your floors, think again.



If you are like me, and don't like putting a lot of effort into cleaning, I recommend just purchasing any one of those non-electric swivel microfiber mops. The swivel mops are so easy to manuever and much faster to setup & cleanup. If you buy multiple pads, you can use them for all kinds of cleaning & not just the floor, like I use a dry pad for wiping down my walls quickly of dust, etc. Now again, I'm talking to people who don't like putting a lot of effort into cleaning, but who like things fairly clean and have reasonable expectations that nothing is going to clean as well as getting on your hands & knees and scrubbing every inch of surface area unless you want to purchase a professional level type of cleaner or hire someone else to do it. Furthermore, I'm not talking about floors so clean it would pass for a hospital operating room or to eat of off.



But back to the floors (tile floors, don't know about hard wood floors), if you are good about wiping up spills & crumbs every so often rather than let them get hard & crusted after a week needing your fingernail or hard brush to remove then a swivel mop is all you need. It's fast & convenient and you don't need to get on your hands & knees every week. Although, you might want to do a full clean like that every month or two. In any case, I just use a dry pad or broom to mop up dust, dry crumbs, etc. something you have to do even w/ one of these electric mops. I then rip off the pad & put on the one I will use wet. With a spray bottle in my hand of whatever cleaner/disinfectant you desire to use I just squirt over any stains & mop it up w/ the swivel mop. I'm sure they have swivel mops w/ their own sprayer but again you trade off price & more time to setup/clean up when done. My way, there's no buckets of water to fill up. If you are really lazy & don't want to keep washing off the pad, just buy a lot of extra pads, so you keep taking them off after you finish a certain section of the floor. At the end, just do a quick rinse & wring them out and throw them in the washer since they are re-usable.

This is one item my housekeeper didn't like me buying! It takes forever to clean an entire kitchen floor...you have to go over the area to wet it and scrub it, and then go back over the area again to dry it. Very time consuming and not what I expected when I bought the item. We hardly use this, unless we have a small area to clean or a spill to get up. Nice concept, but not very practical for an entire kitchen...I am going to stick with my Wet Swiffer!

I have two toddlers, 19 months apart. My youngest is a messy kid. My kitchen floor under the table is a constant mess. I have used everything from a sponge mop, twist mop, swiffer wetjet...I was tired of having to get on all fours and scrub with a heavy duty sponge. I wanted something that cleaned good. I use this nearly daily! It's awesome! My floor is damp after use, but no more so than with either of the other options. I still wipe by the baseboards with a rag, but I had to with the other options... but this powermop actually cleans the floor without me having to spend my children's entire afternoon nap scrubbing. I charge it in a closet. I can clean my kitchen, foyer, 2 half baths and 2 full baths without losing charge. A little of the solution goes a long way! One fill up tackles my kitchen and one half bath.. refill for the two full baths... refill for the foyer, half bath and laundry room. Love it!

I also bought this for quick pickups on hardwood floors. It did ok with dust bunnies and very small dirt particles but I thought it would have more suction. After using it three times the button that turns it on stopped working. I have to continually hold the button down for it to run. Very disappointed - it is going back to the store today.

If you want a little vac, can that can do the job, and get it done fast! This is what you want.. I found mine at Target on clearance for 24.99 and snagged it up... My 2 1/2 year old loves to help with the chores, and this is very easy for him to navigate around, and seriously after meals he runs and gets it, I turn it on, and he cleans up the mess.



not sure what people are saying that it wont pick cherrios or food up, but it does pick that stuff up.. Now it wont pick up wet food items, but thats no biggie, I'd rather not have messy wet stuff inside my vac anyway...

Its light, its easy to navigate, its fun.. I can get the whole 2k ft house done (all hard wood) in about 15 mins or less... :)

I took a look at these reviews and found either people liked it or really hated it. But I bought it anyway as I have tons of wood and tile floors that i hate dragging out the Bissell with all the attachments to clean.



My problem is my floors get a layer of dust and dog hair on them in between bigger cleanings. It's not like those commercials on info TV where they pour a bunch of bolts and watch how they suck them up with their sweeper of choice. i mean who does that?



After getting this home and getting it charged up-- I was pretty pleased with it.



1) It is fun to use! How many vaccuums can you say that about. It floats, it hovers, it's like nothing else.

2) It does work. Ok, the power isn't going to suck up the cat along the way but for little daily sweeping to get the dust, hair dirt and dog food up -- it works fine. I was amazed at the amount I emptied out after one use -- and this after thinking "I'm not sure this is doing anything."

3) It is cordless. This is a BIG plus. You can zip around with this thing floating all over and get done really quick.



So it is what it is -- a dirt devil on a stick. It's like the equivalent of those Roomba vacuums except you are the robot and there isn't a plastic thing wandering around your house for 3 hours bumping into everything.



Use it on hard floors for those in between cleanings and you will be really satisfied. I found it on sale at a local store and took a chance. I'm glad I did.

If you're like me, you're looking for a dustbuster-on-a-stick to suck up golden retriever fur and the odd bit of dirt from 2700 sq ft of concrete floor in between mondo vacuumings.



This ain't it.



Although a tantalizingly beautiful appliance, don't be swayed by its design-y splendor. It doesn't have the power of a handheld Dustbuster. It won't pick up sand or coffee grounds. As others have pointed out, its unusual gliding action is mesmerizing at first, but it becomes tiresome trying to direct it where you want. Its weird triangular nozzle won't do corners or baseboards. I'll be giving mine away to a friend I don't like much.

Just got this today. My house is mostly tile and this sweeper is perfect. Just like they say the sweeper stays at full power for 15 minutes. This sweeper does an excellent job at picking up crumbs in the corner and along edges. I did sweep one room with carpet and I was amazed at what it pulled from the carpet. Hoover has a winner with this 1.

I am in love with this vac. Have been searching for the perfect cordless vac for years, something I can use for 4-5 minutes each night to do the worst parts of the kitchen, by the outside door, in front of the couch, etc to keep things manageable so I only have to drag out the big vac once a week. I have 5 or 6 useless ones down in the basement. This is a dream - picks up great, doesn't just push the dirt around until I get the suction exactly over the bit I want to vac up. Convenient to use. Good on hard floors, fair on carpet. Battery life is too short to make a quick pass over a few rooms. Should come with second battery to switch with, instead of requiring buyer to spend $$$ to buy one. After all, this is an expensive machine. Easy to assemble/disassemble for cleaning.

PROS: Convenience of no cord to tangle with. Descent suction.

CONS: Small canister - needs to be emptied after every use, which can be a messy proposition. Canister is difficult to reattach. Could use a hose for corners, etc. Relatively new product with unknown last-ability. Pricey.

CONCLUSION: Good for area rugs, small apartments, and frequent clean-ups do to piliferous pets. Probably not good as primary vacuum for large areas.
