I bought this item for its environmental friendliness and for the "multi-allergen" label because I have allergies. When I received it I noticed the words "Fresh Crystal Water Fragrance" on the bottle (there is no mention of a fragrance in the item description on Amazon or on the Hoover website). I don't know if you've smelled fresh crystal water before, but apparently it smells like a fresh scent deodorant stick. Why a detergent that is reported to "remove odors" and fight allergens would have a fragrance is beyond me. Ok so the smell isn't horribly overpowering. I used some of it when I had run out of the fragrance free stuff. Then I dumped the rest down the drain. The couch looks clean, but I'm heading out to buy some more fragrance free detergent.

My wife and I purchased a steamvac after our newborn started crawling we wanted to make sure the carpets were clean but also keem them green. Considering he puts everything in his mouth.
