I purchased this model and find it to be a great machine. Seems heavy/bulky, when stationary, but moves easily when running. Really cleans well too. Picks up a fair amount of debris and lint when using, so it takes a few minutes to clean all parts after use, but worth the trouble so it's ready to go again. Dis-assemble carefully following directions, but not hard after you've done it.. then just rinse under tap with a sink collection strainer in-place, so debris doesn't go into drain pipes.

I love this machine. After only ever having Bissell machines, I finally decided to replace my 3rd broken one with with this Hoover. First, the suction on this machine is much stronger. The carpet is dry in no time and seems cleaner. Second, the machine comes apart for cleaning. You can remove the brushes, front assembly etc...very easily-This comes in handy when dog hair is an issue. Third, you don't need to lug around the hose assemby all the time since it's removable. I highly recommend......

Ok, here is my experience with the Hoover Dual V F7412-900. (Same as F7411-900) My wife and I purchased a 1300 sq foot house about 8 months ago. The carpet was new when we moved in. (Builder grade). Machine worked well on my off-white carpet. Doesn't perform miracles, but I was able to put off buying new carpet. Machine works well if you use slow strokes and make a couple of dry runs to pick up more water. The only annoying issue was the frequency of water changes and refills, but that is normal for all machines of this type.

Just got this today. My house is mostly tile and this sweeper is perfect. Just like they say the sweeper stays at full power for 15 minutes. This sweeper does an excellent job at picking up crumbs in the corner and along edges. I did sweep one room with carpet and I was amazed at what it pulled from the carpet. I am in love with this vac. Have been searching for the perfect cordless vac for years, something I can use for 4-5 minutes each night to do the worst parts of the kitchen, by the outside door, in front of the couch, etc to keep things manageable so I only have to drag out the big vac once a week. I love my Hoover Platinum Cordless Stick Vac. I have tried other cheaper cordless vac's, and like the idea of them but then never worked well. I gave them away, and now I am so happy with this one. Now I am waiting for the Handheld one to on sale and planning on getting that one also.

Convenient to use. Good on hard floors, fair on carpet. Battery life is too short to make a quick pass over a few rooms. Should come with second battery to switch with, instead of requiring buyer to spend $$$ to buy one. After all, this is an expensive machine. Easy to assemble/disassemble for cleaning.

PROS: Convenience of no cord to tangle with. Descent suction.

CONS: Small canister - needs to be emptied after every use, which can be a messy proposition. Canister is difficult to reattach. Could use a hose for corners, etc. Relatively new product with unknown last-ability. Pricey.

CONCLUSION: Good for area rugs, small apartments, and frequent clean-ups do to piliferous pets. Probably not good as primary vacuum for large areas.

It's hard to evaluate a vacuum cleaner because as a man I barely know what its even used for- haha but more seriously few people really get the chance to compare other vacuums and it's hard to realistically compare dirt levels in a newly-vacuumed carpet.

But I can say that after 6 months of almost weekly use I'm very pleased with the performance of
my 'Hoover Windtunnel bagged Upright'.

Lots of suction, with the best cat hair pickup I've ever seen however, everything else will drive you nuts. It's jet engine whine noisy, I wear hearing protectors. The accessory hose is short so the vacuum must be very close to where you are trying to clean. If you reach too far the vacuum tips over on top of you, which will surprise you because it's generally behind you and you don't see it happening. The hose pinches your fingers, and the accessories are laughably tiny, like little toys. ......
