I ordered this shampooer earlier this month. So far I have shampooed 4 bedrooms, hallways, living room, dining room. Wow. It has done an incredible job and is so easy to use. Having two elderly dogs can make carpet maintenance a challenge. After years of renting bulky "commercial" style cleaners, I decided to buy this Hoover. It works better than I could've imagined. It's easy to use once you learn how, and it cleans impressively. The vigorous agitation makes quick work of stains and the suction power is amazing - an impressive fraction of the water is reclaimed. The Hoover cleaning solution works quite well compared to others I've used. Highly recommended.
This is a great carpet cleaner. I cleaned carpets as a youngster and was very surprised at how easy it cleaned. Also pulls around 60% of the water out. My carpets were dry in 6 to 8 hours. If I had of known how easy it was I would have purchased one years ago. Attachments work great for cleaning steps and upolstery. Easy assembly. No problems with leaking or spot cleaning valve as others write about. (follow directions)

I was about to rip out all my dingy carpeting and install tile but after using this Hoover SteamVac on all my floors they look so new and clean I'm going to keep the carpeting! This unit really works! I copied a formula for home-made carpet shampoo off the internet and it works wonders.
